BA Moves Abuja, Lagos Flights to Terminal 5

British Airways has announced June 5 as the date it is moving Abuja and Lagos flights from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Heathrow Terminal 5.

The move will offer Passengers on the Nigerian route a totally new travel experience offering  a smoother, easier and calmer airport experience.

The 4.7 million pounds edifice, which was built to ease travel stress of British Airways customers has the capacity to move 65,000 passengers per hour and the transfer of over 25 percent of the long haul flight programme from Heathrow Terminal 4.

The long haul flights currently operating to and fro Terminal 5 are: Hong Kong, Johannesburg, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Tokyo and Vancouver.

Other flights moving to the New Terminal on June 5 are New York, JFK, Bangalore, Beijing, Cairo, Cape Town and Phoenix.

The services moving on June 5 represent 25 percent of the airline’s current long haul flight programme in Terminal 4.

The decision to move the remaining long haul flights with Terminal 5 in a phased approach, according to the airline, was taken “to ensure we can deliver the high standards of customer service we promised our customers.”
