Aikpitanhi’s rejects 10,000 euros humanitarian help from Spain, sues Iberia for $10million
The family of a Nigerian who died on board Iberia Airline when he was been deported by the Spanish Immigration has gone to court seeking compensation from the Spain national carrier. Father of the late Osamuyiwa Aikpitanhi, Mr. Jacob Aikpitanhi has sued the Iberia Airline for damages to the tune of $10 million for killing his son. He recently rejected the sum of 10.000.00 euros humanitarian help made available by the Spanish government through its embassy in Nigeria.

Shame of nation, 10,000 Nigerians perished crossing the Mediterranean in eight years
Not less than 59,000 Nigerians across European and northern African countries are without valid travelling documents and about 10,000 of they dead between 1999 and 2007, Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chief Ojo Maduekwe, has disclosed. The minister, who was speaking at a two-day national workshop on the campaign against irregular migration recently in Abuja, said that the number represented those who were waiting in transit for an opportunity to migrate to Western Europe.

Nigerian government forced Virgin Nigeria to domestic wing eventually
After several months of disrespect for the Nigerian government, Virgin Nigeria finally relocated to the domestic wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA2) as directed by the federal government. The relocation to the new terminal ended Virgin Nigeria arrogant posture of the past few months of refusing to relocate to the domestic wings like other airlines.
