Calabar Christmas Carnival Records Another Glorious Outing

Despite the current global and national economic hardship, this year annual Calabar Christmas Carnival established to promote the state’s tourism potentials eight years ago was indeed a success. The carnival that climaxed on 27 December 2008 was no doubt according to many Nigerians and foreigners that were in the state solely for the just concluded 2008 edition was far more interesting beyond their expectations.

Gambia Tourism Takes A Hit From Global Financial Crisis

"Last year if you came here at eight, the place would be full," she said gloomily. The small West African country is among many exotic travel destinations bracing for a bad hit by the financial crisis as worried consumers delay far-flung holidays.

More BA, Nigerian Passengers Fight Averted

Fights between British Airways and Nigerian passengers were averted recently at the prestigious Heathrow Airport in London. The fights which would have resulted as a Nigerian middle aged man and a woman who claimed to be a student in the United Kingdom were being deported in an inhuman manner on November 26 and December 2, 2008 respectively.
